Brazilian midfielder in contention for first-team return, after easing Red Devils’ second-string to 3-1 victory over City reserves with second-half brace
Manchester United midfielder Anderson looks set to make his return to the first-team squad against Fulham at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Brazilian midfielder has been out of action since February, after suffering knee ligament damage in United’s 1-0 FA Cup victory over non-league Crawley.
The 22-year-old made a return to action in Thursday’s reserve team derby against Manchester City at Moss Lane.
Anderson scored two second-half goals as the Red Devils overcame their rivals 3-1, with Gabriel Obertan bagging the opener before Adbi Ibrahim equalised for City.
